The Wishing Well - Powered by Honeymoon Wishes

We first met in 2nd grade at Blue Ridge Christian School. We started out as friends, but of course at the age girls and boys weren't close because we had "cooties", but as time went on we always felt more of a connection than just friends. Well how do you know in elementary school? Well, I was probably the only girl he was very sweet too, he never called me names, and when we played "wall ball" during recess and I had to "spread eagle" because you lost the game, he didn't peg me as hard as he could with the ball! He would send me carnations for Valentine's Day and write me little love notes on my birthday or just because. We would talk on the phone for hours, even when he was watching his favorite show, The Simpsons. During our years at BRCS, from 2nd to 6th grade, we were "boyfriend and girlfriend" on and off. We went to different middle schools--he went to John Wayland and I went to Thomas Harrison. For high school he attended Turner Ashby and I went to Harrisonburg. We crossed paths in 10th grade of high school, but ended up being the wrong time in our lives to try and start dating. After high school, I had just gotten out of a serious relationship and he was currently in one. One day, I started thinking about what he was doing and how much I'd like to see him even though we hadn't talked since 10th grade. I talked with one of our mutual friends from BRCS and met up with Preston and his band at The Pub. I was scared to death to talk to him, but that's what bringing girlfriends is all about--they made me! After I found out that he was with someone, I felt discouraged and left, but later that night I received his number from his youngest sister and thought that I would let him know how I felt about him even though he was in a relationship of 2 years with this one girl that he had been dating from high school. I sent him a long text, yes I know a text, of how I felt about him and that my feelings for him never vanished. I didn't hear anything from him, but as a couple days past, and it happened to be my 19th birthday and I was out to dinner with my family, I received a phone call from him asking if he could stop by my house later to give me a birthday card. Well, when he showed up I asked where my card was and he said "I don't have one, I just used that as an excuse to come see you." Ever since that night, we hit it off and he broke off his 2 year relationship with his girlfriend. We started dating immediately after and now, almost 4 years later we are getting married!

We are SO happy that we get to share this day, our wedding day, with our closest family and friends! We love you all so very much!
